This policy explains what personal data Game On collects when you use the website or the iOS and Android apps, why we collect it, who can see it, how long we keep it and how you can delete it. We don't sell your data, show ads or track you across other apps and websites.
Who we are
Game On is a service for amateur athletes to create and find sports events, join them, chat with the other players and form private groups. It runs as a website at trygameon.com and as apps for iOS and Android. Game On is provided by EVLabs Ltd (UIC 206802849, VAT number BG206802849), the controller of your personal data. Registered address: Stoycho Moshanov 71, Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Office: Asenovgradsko Shose 4B, floor 7, Plovdiv, Bulgaria. In this policy, "Game On", "we" and "us" mean EVLabs Ltd. You can reach us at any time through the Contact page at trygameon.com/contact.
What we collect
Account: your name, email address, phone number and username. If you sign up with a password, we store only a hash of it, never the password itself. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we store the ID of that account instead; with Google we also keep a link to your Google profile photo and, on the website, the sign-in tokens Google issues. With Apple, your email address may be a private relay address that Apple forwards to you. Profile: your photo, bio, city and country, skill level, preferred sports and position, and the language you choose. Content: the events, groups (with their images) and venues you create or suggest, your event chat messages, the reports you file and the players you block. Participation: the events you join or wait for, and the statistics and reliability score worked out from them. Device and technical data: a push notification token for each device where you allow notifications, and the IP address and browser or app user agent of each signed-in session, kept for security. Contact form: the message, name and email address you send us, which reach us by email and are not stored in the app. We don't collect your contacts, health, financial or browsing data, and we don't access your calendar.
Location
When you let Game On use your location, it is used only on your device, to pick the nearest city from our list; only that city's name is sent to us. We never store your device's coordinates. When you search for an address or venue, Google's Places service receives what you type, the centre of the city you chose (not your position) and, as with any web request, your IP address. Photos uploaded since 13 September 2026 have their metadata removed, GPS location included. The only location we keep about you is the city and country on your profile.
How we use your data
We use your data to run Game On: your account, events and waiting lists, groups, chat, notifications and your reliability score. We also use it to keep players safe (reports, blocking and suspensions), to protect accounts and prevent abuse (sessions and sign-in security), and to send the emails the service needs, such as confirmation codes, password resets and a welcome email. We don't show ads, sell your data or track you across other apps and websites, and we use no analytics or advertising tools.
Legal bases
Under the GDPR, we process your data because it's needed to provide the service you signed up for (performance of a contract); for our legitimate interests in keeping Game On secure, moderating it and keeping event history intact for the other players; and with your consent for push notifications and your device's location. You can withdraw consent at any time in your device or browser settings.
Who can see your data
Any signed-in Game On user can see your name, username, photo, bio, city, skill level, preferred sports and position, reliability score and statistics. When you join an event, its organiser can see your email address and phone number so they can reach you. Messages in an event's chat are visible to that event's members. Events are shown according to their visibility: a group event only to the group's members, unless its organiser makes it public. Reports and blocks are seen only by administrators, who can also see account data when they moderate.
Service providers
We don't sell your data. To run Game On we use a few service providers, which receive only what they need for their part: Amazon Web Services hosts Game On in the EU (Frankfurt, eu-central-1) and Amazon SES sends our emails; Google provides address suggestions (Maps Places), push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging) and Google sign-in; Apple provides Sign in with Apple and delivers push notifications on iOS. The Google sign-in and Firebase libraries in the iOS and Android apps may also collect device identifiers and diagnostic data for Google's operation of those services. Some of these providers may process data outside the EU, under the safeguards they apply to international transfers.
How long we keep data, and deleting your account
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Delete account, and it takes effect immediately. Deleting it removes your sign-in methods and sessions, push tokens, notifications, group memberships and invites, blocks (yours and other players' blocks of you) and your places on upcoming waiting lists, and wipes your profile: name, email, username, phone, photo, bio, city, country, skill level, position and sports. Your uploaded profile photos, earlier ones included, are deleted from storage, as are the images of any group left with no members. Upcoming events you organise are cancelled, and groups you own pass to another member. Some records stay, with nothing linking them to you: chat messages you sent (shown as "Deleted user"), past event rosters and event history, venues you suggested, reports you filed, moderation records and statistics. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it (you can edit most of it yourself in Profile), delete it, receive a copy of it in a portable format, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw any consent you've given. To use any of these rights, write to us through the Contact page; there's no self-service export, so we'll send you a copy on request. You can also complain to a data protection authority; in Bulgaria, that's the Commission for Personal Data Protection.
Children
Game On is for people aged 13 and over. If you're under the age at which you can consent to data processing where you live, a parent or guardian must agree on your behalf. If we learn that we hold data of someone under 13, we delete the account.
Security
All data travels over HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as hashes, and access to personal data is limited to what's needed to run and moderate the service. On Android, your sign-in session is kept out of device backups.
Cookies
On the website, a single session cookie keeps you signed in; in the apps, a session token stored on your device does the same. Your theme and language choice are remembered on your device. See our Cookies Policy for details.
